Do you have that office Christmas party coming up soon? Or maybe your family is getting together and having a party during the Christmas season. Whatever the specifics, you may be wondering how you are going to do your makeup and I have a few ideas for you!

This is the time of year to go all out and experiment with different makeup looks! I love all things beauty and makeup and I am constantly searching for new products and looks to try. When I plan the way I want my makeup to look for the holidays, I gravitate toward glitter, glitter and more glitter! I also love a bold lip and fabulous wing! If you are not into the dramatic look, try matte eye shadows and lips.

One thing you will learn about me, if you haven’t read any of my other posts yet, is that my husband and I live on a pretty tight budget that we created for ourselves. The premise of Karen Sincerely is to show everyone that you can live a full and beautiful like, no matter what your financial situation is! There are so many really great drugstore brands that can give you the same gorgeous looks as high-end makeup.

Recently, I went over to one of my best friend’s house and we came up with a look that is perfect for the holidays! We used a mix of drugstore and more expensive brands like NYX, Wet N Wild and Morphe. We did a gorgeous glitter color on the eyes and a bold red lip! Below is the finished look on me!

Products we used:

NYX Pore Filler Primer
Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation, 112
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, Fair
Coty Airspun Loose Powder
Profusion Pro Contour Palette
Milani Baked Powder Blush, Luminoso
Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette, Solstice (highlighter)

Wet n Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer
Renaissance by Anastasia Beverly Hills Palette
Morphe 350 Palette
Urban Decay Heavy Metal, Midnight Cowboy
NYC Liquid Eyeliner
Red Cherry False Lashes, #15
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Red Lip Liner (generic)
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, Monte Carlo

ELF Illuminating Mist & Set

I would really love to start posting different looks that I try out or my go-to routine but I’m not sure if anyone will be interested! Comment below or e-mail me at if you would like to see more looks in the future on Karen Sincerely!

I am an avid YouTube makeup tutorial fan, so I wanted to link a few videos that will give you step by step instructions to create the perfect makeup look using products that will fit in anyone’s budget. I love watching these videos because I learn so much and see new techniques that I didn’t know about before. I hope you enjoy! XOXO
