Creamy Cajun Sausage Linguine

 

This meal was so delicious and will definitely be going into our rotation! I was looking for something that would use different ingredients and include pasta and I stumbled upon this Creamy Cajun Sausage Linguine recipe. The peppers, sausage and sauce combination is delicious… even Olivia loved it! I think the best part of this recipe is that it may be a few steps but you aren’t spending a long time in the kitchen. We decided to leave out the Cajun part of the recipe because Olivia doesn’t like to eat spicy food! I also used a little bit more cream cheese, my sauce wasn’t as thick as I wanted. List of Ingredients:

  • 3/4 lb. Linguine
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1/2 lb. sausages, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun mix (we didn’t use any of this!)
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (we used a little bit more than 1/2 cup!)
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • salt to taste
  • chopped parsley (we didn’t use the parsley) and Parmesan cheese on top
